Free Online-Database for experimental measurements and specifications

Dear ped-net members,

Dear visitors of ped-net.org,

at THIS SITE (please click)

you will find a collection of experimental data for pedestrian dynamics on ped-net.org (Credits for layout C. Boehlefeld and S. Zens). For every selected experiment or empirical study we included the following informations

  • bibliography
  • a short description of the experimental setup and boundary conditions
  • exemplary photos ot videos (if available)
  • main results (figure and the data in an ascii-file)

As a first step we focus on the fundamental diagram (flow-density relation) and on the flow through bottlenecks. We hope you find this data collection useful for model validation and comparison. All members are invited to contribute to this collection. For this purpuse please send a document including only the information listed above to

database(at)ped-net.org
